Cutting and Rough Grinding Processes

Precision casting is a high-precision, high-quality casting process for the production of parts with high requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface quality; cutting and rough grinding process is a necessary process in the precision casting process, cutting process is to excise the part from the sprue bar, and rough grinding process is to roughly grind the sprue part of the part after cutting, and we can get the blank state of the part through these two processes.

Work Regulations

1、Pre-operation preparation

    1.1 Wear labour protection gear. 

1.2 Preparation of base material (cutting of magnesium alloys, plastics, wood and other soft adhesive workpieces is strictly prohibited) 

1.3 Empty the work site of extraneous debris

2、Check before start-up

2.1 Check whether the power busbar of the wheel cutter is worn out, whether the power contact is good and whether there is any leakage of electricity

2.2 Check that the grinding wheel cutting discs and grinding wheel belts are not badly damaged and need to be replaced

2.3 Rotate the equipment by hand to see if it operates normally, and check if the bolts of the grinding wheel disc are loose.

2.4 Check that the equipment is securely mounted

3、Operating instructions

   Turn on the power control switch, the oil pump starts, the oil pump indicator light is on, start the cutting motor, idling for 10 seconds, if it rotates stably without noise, turn off the motor, otherwise it can not be operated until the problem is solved. Place the workpiece on the worktable, use the fixed fixture to fix the workpiece, the operation console (Figure 1) can achieve the adjustment of the worktable left and right, front and back, adjust the cutting blade up and down buttons, so that the cutting point of the workpiece is placed in the cutting machine piece directly under the 3-5cm, check the fixation situation again, wear a full protective gear. Press the automatic start button, the equipment will complete the cutting blade down, the table moves forward to complete the cutting of the casting, the cutting process must not leave the work area such as the discovery of the wheel is not correct, the cutting angle is not right, the casting is not stable and other adverse conditions, you need to immediately press the emergency stop control button, to prevent the occurrence of accidents. After the completion of the cutting process, we should wait for the wheel to stop rotating completely, press the origin reset button, so that the wheel and the table back to the original height before the table and cutting castings can be sorted out (Figure II). Processing is completed should turn off the power  and do a good job of the equipment and the surrounding site 5S requirements.

4、Cautions

    Wear the necessary labour supplies before going on duty. In the cutting process casting group to support the right, hold steady, slowly advancing, jig cutting must be clamped, clamping positive, in the cutting and rough sanding, such as the occurrence of the cutting disc or grinding wheel belt loose, incorrect, not clamped firmly and so on, should be immediately shut down to deal with the situation, and often check the cutting disc and grinding wheel belt, the moisture, there are damaged shall not be used.
